This is just the begining of our project to bring together musicians from the UK and The Gambia to make some new music. Here we will keep you up to date with what our aims are and how well we are achiving them.

We are currently rehearsing for the album launch concert at The Komidia, Brighton. 1st November where we will be playing at the African Night Fever show.

Also we are putting the finishing touches to the album, videos and our web presence ready for the big launch in association with the BBC and South East Arts Council.

After the launch concert we will be concentrating on putting together a schools workshop where Musa and some of the other musicians involved well be traveling around schools and teaching children of all ages the indifferences between making music in The Gambia compared to European way of making music.

Finally we are hoping to secure some festival gigs next year with a large band performance of the XamXam music including more of the original Gambian musicians.
